Where and how to ship.
Ship to: Cole's Woodwinds, 212 Gillett St, Prince George, BC, CANADA V2M 2T4 ph 250-563-4693
Make sure that you pack your instruments well for shipping. The instrument should not be able to slide around in it's case. Cases that do not close well ought to be taped shut. If we have to supply packing for the return tip there will be a small extra charge.
Insurance; Greyhound will only issue insurance up to $999.99 other courier type services ( DHL for example) will insure for the full value though it does get very expensive. So far we have never had an instrument lost or damaged during transit, lets hope that continues. Leave a note in the case (if we have not spoken) stating what repairs are required and your contact information. Email works best for us.
IN Canada
We have used Greyhound Bus for years now without any problems. They will call us to pick up the instrument from the depot.Canada Post has also worked well for us.
We no longer recommend Greyhound use DHL instead. Update if you use greyhound have us pick it up do not send it door to door because the local station will not deliver it they will just pocket the fee and make us go and collect it!
We will ship them back the same way unless advised otherwise
you will also need to fill out a commercial invoice which is required by Canadian customs in order to clear without duty being charged. Mark it: " For Repair Only - No Commercial Value, Warranty Repair"
Do not put the dollar value as $0, it will cause delays, mark between it $1 and $50
You will need the harmonized code for what you are shipping.Wind instruments are 920590 this is the HS code
When Professional musicians entrust their $20-30,000 instruments to CWW and Band teachers send their students and instruments to us you know you will looked after.
