How to sensitize yourself to the best position for a particular note;
1. Start the note 3 times using only the air to begin the note.
Listen for the sound of the air rushing through the instrument. Slowly tighten the embouchure and increase the air pressure until the note speaks. Hold the note and listen to the tone. Notice the sound of the note at its onset. Do this twice more.
2. Now start the note with the air once more, be aware of the sound and feel. Immediately after doing this start the note using your tongue.
Do this twice more.
The goal is to make the two ways of starting the note feel and sound as much like each other as possible.
Tips.
The trick is to be very aware. That is to say, open to the experience, this way you will not miss anything you are doing because you are concentrating on a certain area to the exclusion of other areas.
If after doing this notes still do not match start over at step 1 rather than repeating the air tongue part of the pattern (Step 2). Repetitions in 3’s give the most improvement. If you just do the same thing over and over it is less effective as the mind tends to tune out, due to the bodies natural tendency to ignore repeated stimuli.

This is a Selmer series 10S clarinet and a Selmer recital they are beautiful clarinets in great condition.
