Simon's Music Studio rates.

My rates are based on a monthly studio membership which gives you 2-2.5 hours of instruction.

The lessons can be had anytime during the month. You may book them and move them around online using our online calendar,  I am "on call" for your convenience. You can have a longer lesson one week and a shorter one the next as suits the amount of work you have prepared. the time is yours to use.

Some weeks you may have lots of questions or a big concert to prepare for, other weeks you will have had little time to prepare this schedule will accommodate that.

The rates for this is $90/month for 2-2.5 hours and $180 for 4-5 hours. This gives you a place in my studio and full access to the website and other resources.

If you pay for the entire year  I give 10% off.

Lessons that you don't show up for are lost.

I need a day's notice to change lesson times.

Casual lessons

If you only want to book the occasional lesson you pay at the full rate of $50/hour or $25 for a half hour.

In General

I prefer to keep my studio on the small side. at one point I was teaching 10+ hours a day but at that point I felt I wasn't doing the students justice. Teaching takes a lot of energy and thought and you must very alert and aware of every aspect of the student, for me at any rate this works better with fewer students.

I teach the student from where they are. Ultimately it's the students lesson I figure out what they want and help them get there.
Lesson starts at the time you booked rather than whenever you get here.
