Musicians for your event

Music makes the difference.

Not all our playing happens on the recital stage or in the concert hall.

Our Classical musicians are working members of the community playing for shows, civic events, corporate affairs and anywhere fine music and musicians are needed. All our musicians are Professionals.
Rates for concert performances are negotiable

We have a repertoire of over 350 pieces: Christmas music, famous classics, Celtic, 20th century.

It's extra but we can also:

contract to be signed before the event.
All musicians are American Federation of Musicians local145 members.

—Make a special arrangement of a favorite piece. $100
-Put together a special group that is not one of our standard ensembles (add one hour of rehearsal for this (though we will do many more).

—Compose a completely original piece of music for the event, this could be to words you have written for instance. Rate Negotiable

House Concerts

What are they?
A special way to hear music with friends in an intimate setting.

If you like to sit near the front at a concert and meet the musicians and you like to share music and good times with friends in the comfort of your home, but you don't like cold uncomfortable halls, long drives , poor acoustics then house concerts are for you.

House Concerts are usually hosted at a private residence or other non-traditional space. Typically 10-20 people each contribute about $20-40 each depending on the group that is playing.
Usually concerts are by invitation only. There are no sound system or other requirements unless a piano is wanted. The musicians can be as much or as little a part of the event as you wish.
Sometimes the performers stay for dinner and mingle sometimes they simply play, chat a little and leave, it's entirely up to the host and what they have in mind for the evening.

What kind of music can I hear?
We play classical music ranging from Renaissance and Baroque to modern,  featuring violin, voice recorder to trio, quartets and mixed quintets with or without piano. Solo recitals with piano are also a possibility. Featured instruments are: clarinet, violin, oboe, piano, voice and recorder.

We have a repertoire of over 400 works. Many are are popular classics and we have special programs of Celtic and Christmas music.

What is the cost?

Playing rates within Prince George city limits. There will be an extra charge for performances outside of city limits. Email for details.

How do I have a concert?
Give us a call (563-4693) email us and tell us what you have in mind. We will suggest a group to suit your taste and the mood of the evening you are planning.

If you want people to sit and listen, perhaps have the pieces introduced that is as equally valid as having us play while people talk and mingle.

It is not disrespectful to talk over background music, much of what we play was composed by great musicians for that express purpose. If we feel we are adding to the ambiance of the event we are happy.

Pick a date for the concert, make what ever other preparations you like for your guests, potluck makes it even easier and you are done. No other preparations are needed.
